Wondering what to wear on mufti day? I’ve got your back!
When I was a teenage girl, the non-uniform day is such a big deal for me and my friends.
We will search all over the web from Pinterest to blog posts just to pin down the perfect outfit to wear on mufti day.

And if you are reading this blog post now, you are in luck as I’m gonna save you a ton of time and gathered 18 outfit ideas for you from cool minimalistic to cool pastel dresses.
At the end of the post, I will also include one of my best tricks to jazz up a simple look at the end of the article, stay tuned!
1. What to wear on mufti day at school? Crop top
Alright, let’s start with the simple chic look first.

Yes, I’m saying a cropped top that goes well with pretty much everything from jeans to joggers.
As we all know, mufti day doesn’t mean we can wear whatever we want. A sexy deep V top or clubbing dress is probably a big no-no.
That said, if you want to show a stripe of your waist and add a dash of lowkey spiciness, a stylish graphic cropped top will always do the trick.
Together with a youthful high bun, a plaid shacket, and a nice pair of chunky sneakers, this is how you look cute with minimal effort.
❤️Girl’s fashion hack #1:
Use nail polish clear coat on fraying thread ends to stop further unraveling until you can properly repair the item!
2. Get a “gossip girl” look that never gets old for a non-uniform day
Fashion comes and goes but schoolgirl style is here to stay.
So girls, feel free to explore the trendy academia look or classic gossip girl look on mufti day as you are at the right age to carry these looks!
For a non-cliche combo, pair up a refreshing white turtleneck top with a pleated skirt and combat boots.

To make sure your non-uniform day is extra fun, ask your girlfriends to wear the schoolgirl theme also and take some instagrammable shots together – you’re bound to feel the best!
❤️Girl’s fashion hack #2:
Prevent button-down shirts from gapping between buttons by using double-sided fashion tape <3
3. A cute summer dress that goes well with EVERYTHING
Gravitate towards feminine style?
Well, what about going fancy with a pastel hue dress on mufti day?
This affordable piece from Amazon below is one of my best picks.

Featuring an adjustable neckline and cute lantern sleeve, you can either wear it as a square neck or sexy off-shoulder.
I also love the self-tie high waist design, it just helps cinch in the waist and makes me appear to be slimmer and taller.
BIG LOVE.
Check this gorgeous piece out! It got all kinds of sizes and hues!

4. What to wear on a nonschool uniform day in winter?
Wondering what to wear to non-school uniform day in winter? I’d say LAYER IT UP.
And guess what, this is also one of the best ways to wear your sexy dress.
A lace trim slip dress looks too sexy for school? Well, layer it up with a white turtleneck and you are good to go!
Super cute.
❤️Girl’s fashion hack #4:Use rolled-up magazine pages to maintain boot shape when storing – truly work wonders imo lol
5. What to wear to mufti day? Dungaree for a retro look
Surprise surprise, we’re talking about the dungarees!
If you want to add a pop of fun to your non-uniform day look, dungarees can be surprisingly cute!
While you can casually team it with a round-neck tee, I’d say jazz up with a retro flare.

So here’s the sweet mash-up: Aesthetic 80s color block sweater, denim dungarees with a belt, and a pair of Dr. Martin that scream “I’ve got a style and I KNOW it”.
Yes, you can certainly look COOL in dungarees!
❤️Girl’s fashion hack #5:
Stretch tight shoes by wearing them with thick socks and blowing them with a hairdryer!
6. Wear a chic oversized T-shirt dress on mufti day
Of course, how can we not talk about the oversized T-shirt dress? It just gives out a distinctive sense of laid-back vibes in a stylish way.
To nail the look, picking the cool prints and slogan is probably the most important step.
If you need some inspo? Check out these two cute pieces!

This one is simple but I can already imagine I wear it like a uniform! I mean, who doesn’t love good vibes?

This aesthetic sun and moon print will never go out of style! Hope you like it!
One reminder though, make sure your oversized shirt dress is long enough to look decent.
You certainly don’t want to get called out by the teachers that day.

Quick fix – Brighten yellowed white clothing by soaking in a solution of lemon juice and hot water!

So here’s my trick to standing out from the crowd – get a pair of statement socks.
There is a wide range of choices these days from fishnet socks with a bow, and glitter socks to mesh socks.
These socks just instantly boost the aesthetic of your look tenfolds and I bet not so many of your friends will be styling like that!

8. Jazz up the look with hats
Want to be a cool kid on mufti day? Then stay strong in the hats game as they can totally change the style of your get-up.
Feeling too plain in a slouchy shirt and jeans?
Throw on a cute bucket hat and people will think you’ve given style to your thought.
It works e.v.e.r.y.t.i.m.e.
❤️ Girl’s fashion hack#8: Keep Jewelry Organized While Traveling hackThread necklaces through drinking straws to prevent tangling – simply clasp the necklace and thread the chain through a straw.

9. Hairstyles DO matters
So you’ve pinned down your outfit, and now let’s talk about hairstyle!

To look like a cool kid, it’s always worth spending extra 10 minutes doing the hair because that will make you feel good the rest of the day.
So yes, do that french braided pigtails or half-up topknot you always wanted – this is the day to pay extra effort!
For the lazy girls out there (Yup, I’m talking to you!), please, at least get yourself a cute pearl hair clip to glam up the look. These 18 pieces are such a bargain.

Can’t complain.
