After fighting stubborn blackheads for years, I finally tried the DIY charcoal mask last week.

The simple mix of activated charcoal, bentonite clay, honey and oil (For some reason I just don’t think this ingredient list would work lol).

When I first come across blue lipstick on Instagram, I just don’t think I can carry it because I just don’t have a cool face.

But as I saw more girls embrace this trend, I just can’t help but try to buy my first dark blue lipstick from Amazon just for fun.

According to Psychological Today, highly attractive women were perceived as even more attractive in red.

So I guess there’s never too much red for the lips!

Plus, this is always an indicator of the confidence level. Bold ladies rock the red, which makes them even more appealing.

Ladies, your hairstyle MATTERS.

Let’s talk about the neckline first.

If you are the girl with a small face and long neck, congrats as you can pull off the turtleneck effortlessly!

However, as a girl with a chubby face, I just don’t look the best in purple eyeshadow and the turtleneck.

The reason being is purple already accentuates my facial features, with the neck being covered by the turtleneck, which just makes my face look bigger and chubbier.

The first tip I can tell you is always to avoid the harsh light directly above the head as that will accentuate the facial structure in the middle – aka your nose.

Instead, taking advantage of the warm yellowish light for a soft look is always preferred.

2. Contour the nose with makeup

As Francois Nars said, “Treat your makeup like jewelry for the face. Play with colors, shapes, structure – it can transform you.”

This quote is a 10/10.

Ladies, never underestimate the power of makeup as it can truly size down a bulbous nose in 5 minutes.

Go to YouTube and you can find endless tutorials that teach you how to contour the nose with bronzer and highlight.

As a heads up, that’s truly a rabbit hole.

Truly, when it comes to a perfect selfie, the angle is EVERYTHING.

You will be amazed at how different you look just by a slight adjustment of angles.

As we all have different shapes and sizes of the nose, there’s no perfect angle that fits everyone.

While some girls find success from high angles, some actually look better with low-side angle shots. So do try to experiment with that.

By the way, if you want to look slimmer in fact, a rule of thumb is 3 inches higher than the height of your eyes!

For such a long time, I thought the more hair covers my face, the better I look. Obviously, this is SO WRONG.

I know bangs are cute but let’s not forget they will narrow down the focus and put your nose in the spotlight.

Instead, opt for a hairstyle that can open up the face so your nose can appear to be smaller in comparison.

As a round face girl myself, I must say showing out my forehead boosts my confidence greatly as it helps elongate my face and contour my nose at the same time.

Or else, simply putting your hair behind the ears can do the trick too.

With the soft light hair color, it blurs out the frame of your face and nose.

Colors like honey blonde, and light ash brown all work great to create softer, gentler facial features.

And yes, it DOES make you look like you have a crazy amount of hair!

Of course, hair color can be very personal as we all have different tones of skin.

That said, an off-shoulder top is always been my favorite. If you want to add some spiciness, go try out the low-neck top!

But as a girl with chubby cheeks, I will definitely stay away from chocker.
